James Wesley Holden

KERNERSVILLE - James Wesley Holden, 87, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. James was born April 7, 1924, in Forsyth County to the late Wesley G. and Izora Landreth Holden. He loved Blue Grass and was an avid Blue Grass Musician, playing at many festivals and events in the area. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife, Maggie McBride Holden, of the home; two sons, Jimmy T. Holden and wife, Shirley, of Kernersville, and Jerry L. Holden and wife, Wendy, of Shalotte; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor R.J. McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
