James "Jim" Kent Humphries

Mr. James “Jim” Kent Humphries, 83, of Clemmons, NC passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at his home. He was born December 26, 1939 in Gaffney, SC to Homer and Eloise Humphries. Jim was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business at Georgia Tech and was a member of Robinhood Road Baptist Church. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ashley Lynn Humphries and a sister, Sybil Popson. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Ann Newsom Humphries; a daughter, Susan Christy Humphries and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Bible Broadcasting Network (BBN) PO Box 7300 Charlotte ,NC 28241 or any Hospice facility of your choice.
