James "Jim" Lewis Isley

Kernersville – James “Jim” Lewis Isley, 93, entered into the more immediate presence of the Savior Friday, March 22, 2024, at his home. He was born on April 17, 1930, in Phoenix, AZ to the late William and Elizabeth Jones Isley. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gwyn Samson Isley; son Gary Dean Isley; granddaughter Elizabeth Marie Isley Vogler.; three sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Isley Mabe, Berlie Isley Mabe, and Roberta Isley Knott; and one brother, William “Bud” Henry Isley. 

Jim was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War.

Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his two sons, John Isley (Libby), James William Isley (Maria Barringer); one daughter, Melinda Beistel (Rick); four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Isley Coon; and two brothers, Don Isley (Dottie), Jerry Isley (Peggy); and daughter-in-law, Gail Ellis Isley , and many nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Chaplain Beverly Isley- Landreth officiating. Private inurnment immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to REVO Church, 5185 Sullivantown Rd, Walkertown, NC 27051.
