James Edwin Lentz

Mr. James Edwin Lentz, 92, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 12, 1921 in Forsyth County to Oscar Clay and May Monroe Lentz. Mr. Lentz was a member of Clemmons Moravian Church,served in the US Navy during WWII and was retired from Norfolk Western Railroad with 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and a twin sister. Surviving is his wife, Frances Swanson Lentz; three sons, Eddie Lentz and wife Debbie of Clemmons, Clay Lentz and wife Janice also of Clemmons and Dan Lentz and wife Carrie of Wilmington; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a brother, Allen Lentz and wife Monteze of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Clemmons Moravian Church with Rev. Q. Ray Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clemmons Moravian Building Fund, PO Box 730, Clemmons, NC 27012.
