James Lloyd Mabe

Mr. James Lloyd Mabe, 85, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Village Care in King, NC. He was born on November 5, 1940, in Stokes County, NC to the late Emory Mabe and Martha Ephegene Tucker Mabe. Lloyd grew up on a farm as a kid. On the weekends, you would find him at the racetrack. Lloyd retired from Chesapeake Packaging and Display. While working and after retirement he enjoyed working on the farm tending to his corn, soybeans, and hay. He is survived by his brother, Merrill Mabe and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall, NC Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
