James Roberts Lynch

James “Jim” Roberts Lynch, 79, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at his residence in Clemmons, NC.

Jim was born on August 31, 1946, in Harmony, NC, to the late Grady Thomas Lynch and Elsie Roberts Lynch. He graduated from high school and served his country in the U.S. Army Airborne Force. Jim worked as an appliance service technician for many years.

One of his greatest enjoyments in life was riding his motorcycle. He was also active in his local VFW and the International Order of the Turtles.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom Lynch, Jerry Lynch, and Colen Lynch; sister, Juanita Lynch Phelps; and his beloved dog, Gus. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynch; daughters, Jamie Lynch Sims (Eugene) and Meghan Lynch Meehan; sons, Andy Lynch and Michael Lynch (Kelcie); grandchildren, Samuel Elter, Matthew Elter, Kronin Lynch, Bearington Lynch, Sebastian Lynch; sister, Florence Lynch Collins; best friends, Steve “Bait” Harper and Bobbie Harper; friend and caregiver, Tom Davis; and many special nieces and nephews.

A cremation graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 4, 2026, at Westlawn Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will follow the graveside service at a time and location to be determined later.
