James Morefield

Mr. James “Pete” Morefield, age 86 of Clemmons, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019.  He was born July 4, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Raymond D. Morefield and Lillie Mathis Morefield.  Mr. Morefield was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and had retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of service.  Surviving is his wife, Jackie H. Morefield; one daughter, Rhonda M. Wall (John) of Advance; one son, Gary L. Morefield (Tammy) of Eden; four grandchildren, Mandy Dixson (Philip), Mindy Goodrich, Brant Morefield (Heather) and Phillip Hedgepeth; ten great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Carter.  A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Mr. Mark Jones brother in Christ.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
