James Myers

Mr. James Aubrey Myers, 81, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on September 9, 1936 in Forsyth County to the late Ransom and Nora Bates Myers. James was employed with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for 38 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose for 37 years. James was a kind and loving man to his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ransom and Loxie Myers; four sisters, Lois, Helen, Barbara, and Shelvia. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenda Myers; one son, James "Jimmy" Michael Myers and wife, Guang; two beloved granddaughters, Ashely Nichole Myers and Morgan Marie Myers; and one brother, Ronald Myers and wife, Amelia. In honoring James' wishes, there will be no formal visitation. The family will hold a celebration of life service at 4:15 p.m., on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Winston-Salem Moose Lodge 466. In lieu of flowers, James' request is that everyone help someone in need. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone for the kind and loving care provided to James and the entire family. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Myers.
