James Samuel Price

James Samuel Price of Bermuda Run, North Carolina died January 22, 2016. He was born June 17, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Florence Price. He was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and Case Western Reserve University. He was an infantryman in the US Army in World War II, during which, he assured his family, he walked from Omaha Beach to Linz, Austria. After the war he began a 33-year career with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Cleveland where he completed his career as the company's general accountant. After retiring, he and his wife Lois moved to Brevard, North Carolina, then to Bermuda Run. He is survived by his wife Lois, his son Randolph (Rheba Hamilton) and his daughter Patricia. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Louise (Boehm) Price and his daughter Caroline Phelan (Stephen). He is also survived by grandchildren Kathleen Phelan, Jessica Sorem (Matthew), Evan Price (Lucy Chadis) and Jonah Price (Stephanie Barnas). Memorial service will be held in the Living Room of Bermuda Village at Bermuda Run on Saturday, January 30 at 12:45 PM. Interment will be at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons NC. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Pastoral Care fund at First Presbyterian Church, 300 North Cherry Street, Winston-Salem NC 27101.
