James Redding

James "Jim" Darwin Redding, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2017. He was born in San Antonio, TX on September 26, 1937. Jim graduated from Wake Forest University and was a lifelong Deacon fan. He retired from Bell South and from AT&T as a Data Analyst. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Sherrill and Thelma Redding; and brothers Hugh and Carl Redding. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jean Ann Redding; daughters, Leigh Ann (Jay) and Ivy (Suk); and two grandchildren, Emily and Aiden. Visitation will be on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Parklawn Memorial Park on Peters Creek Pkwy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made to Kate B.
