James "Mike" Robbins

Mr. James Michael ""Mike"" Robbins, 70, of Lewisville, NC passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Born February 2, 1947 in Lenoir, NC to Vada """"Pat"" Rainey Robbins and Grover Cleveland Robbins, Jr. Mr. Robbins was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. Loved by many for his tall tales and jovial spirit. He was a thrill seeker who enjoyed racing cars, skydiving, and flying air planes or just relaxing on the New River. The Original Nice'n. Surviving are his wife, Diane Robbins; a son, Travis Matthews of Dallas, TX; a sister, Jan Robbins Elder of Boone; a niece, Lora Elder of Angwin, CA and a nephew, William Patrick ""Billy"" Elder of Banner Elk. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service starting at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David H. Floyd officiating.
