James Edward Shaw, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE - James Edward Shaw, Sr., 71, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. James was born on October 25, 1944 in Guilford County to Joseph and Grace Pagie Shaw. He was a truck driver for 45 years and loved his family and NASCAR!

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Jim Shaw, Jr.

Surviving are two children, Debbie Vaughn (husband, Rick) and Joe Shaw; three grandchildren, David Moorefield Jr., Christy Moorefield and Zachary Shaw; two great grandchildren, Cassidy and Trever Bryant; and one sister, Nancy Shaw.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
