James Andrew Sitison, Jr.

James ""Jim"" Andrew Sitison, Jr., 76, of Winston Salem, NC, passed away Friday morning January 24, 2014. A veteran, Jim was educated at UNC Chapel Hill where he graduated in 1965. Well loved in the community, Jim practiced pharmacy for 45 years, including Andrews Pharmacy, Kroger Pharmacy, and Village Pharmacy of Advance. A member of Ardmore United Methodist Church, a former president of Christian Fellowship class, Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shelby Dixon Sitison; daughter Devan S. Semore and husband Dale Semore; their children Ryan Hoilman and Maggie Garduno and her children Caroline and Mateo; son James A. Sitison, III and wife Margaret Sitison; their children Rachel, Jake and Hallie Sitison; sister Corinne George and husband Dillard George; and special cousin Mary Hoyt. The family will receive friends from 3-5 Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Ardmore United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers please donate to KBR Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, Ardmore Methodist Church or National Brain Tumor Society.
