James Sandry Zimmerman, Jr.

Mr. James Sandry Zimmerman, Jr. age 84, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  He was born June 11, 1938 in Davie county to the late James Sandry Zimmerman, Sr. and Erma Carter Zimmerman.  Jimmy was a retired builder and an avid fisherman. He loved spending time in the NC mountains and at Lake Norman catching stripers. He also enjoyed spending time with his longtime friends enjoying live music.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Luther Zimmerman.  Surviving are two daughters, Karen Zimmerman Dickens of Advance and Stacy Mignon Zimmerman Garrard (Andy) of Lake Norman and two granddaughters, Alexandria and Kathryn Dickens.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Green Meadows Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Ken Furches. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. prior to the graveside service at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
