KERNERSVILLE – James Roy “Jim” Langham, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Maple Grove Nursing and Rehab. Jim was born on August 25, 1943 in Forsyth County to James Arvel and Jessie Minton Langham. Jim worked at North State Communications and later was a designer at Alma Desk Company. He enjoyed woodworking but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Holston.
Surviving are five children, Chad Langham, Chris Langham (Renee), Timothy Langham, David Langham (Jessica), and Katie Gwaltney (Chris); five grandchildren, Dylan Langham, Chase Langham, Jessica Langham, Elliott Plitt, and Coleman Gwaltney; and one brother, Steve Langham (Sarah).
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Saints Delight Baptist Church with Elder E.W. Hooven officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Marti Langham for her loving care of Jim during his illness.
