James William Carlin, Jr.

Mr. James William Carlin, Jr. 85, of King, NC, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late James William Carlin, Sr. and Bernice Rogers Carlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Bodsford. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Selma Emerson Carlin of King; his sister, Lois Lugaila (Bill) of Coraopolis, PA; his brother, Phil Carlin (Meg) of Cincinnati, OH; his children, Al Carlin (Nancy) of Kinston, NC, Jimmy Carlin (Cindy) of King, NC, and Jane Bodsford (Keith) of Denver, NC; his grandchildren, Erin Bodsford and Drew Carlin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and Marine Veteran who provided for his family and enjoyed traveling. A celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
