Mrs. Jane Grace McCall of Winston-Salem, passed away on July 2, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. McCall was born May 27,1920 in Danbury, CT. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Nelson Ford McCall, who called her the love of his life. Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Debra Lee Schlessinger; a brother, Anthony Capalonga of West Palm Beach, FL, and four sisters, Lucille, Constance, Josephine, and Louise, all of Danbury,CT. She is survived by her dearly loved daughters, Myra Jane Miller and husband Charles of Winston-Salem and Cynthia Faye Ross and her husband Bruce of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ray Miller and his former wife Amy Miller of Atlanta, GA, Scott Miller and his wife Jennifer of Cincinnati, OH, Katherine Miller and her husband Thomas of Bend, OR, Ronnie Schlessinger of Kernersville, Aimee Schlessinger of Clemmons and Matthew Passwaters and Nathan Passwaters of San Diego, CA. Surviving also are three great grandchildren, Benjamin Miller of Atlanta, Samantha Miller and Ethan Miller of Cincinnati, who all brought smiles and pleasure to her. Mr and Mrs McCall traveled throughout the country and overseas during Mr. McCall's 22 years in the Air Force and gathered many devoted friends. Mrs. Mc Call was a spirited independent woman who taught her family and friends that life was a joyful event and that we all should appreciate and participate in living life to the fullest. She had a vibrant personality and a heartfelt laugh that brought happiness to those around her. Her heart was full of love for her family and she treasured every moment spent with them. Mrs. McCall never wavered in her faith and found strength in her daily prayers. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Mrs. McCalls' family wishes to thank the KBR Hospice Home for their loving care during her last days. Mass of Christian Burial will held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with Father Conall McHugh officiating .Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. Visitation for family and friends will from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at Hayworth- Miller Silas Creek Parkway Chapel.
