Jane Wyrick Peeler

Jane Hope Wyrick Peeler, surrounded by her family, left this earth on Saturday, June 25, 2017 after a brief illness. Jane was born in Salisbury, NC on February 17, 1940 to the late Steadman and Lula Wyrick. She graduated from Granite Quarry High School in 1958. She was married to Cecil Peeler in 1958 who preceded her in death. She was devout in her faith and was an active member of Lewisville United Methodist Church. She was retired from Piedmont Aviation Credit Union. Jane loved her family and was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was affectionately called Mama Jane and Mamaw by many. She was always smiling and she never met a stranger.
Throughout her life Jane was involved in many activities. She was an avid bowler, a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, class mom, PTA board member, and sideline cheerleader for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her friends going to the gym and getting together for meals and special celebrations.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Steadman Ray Wyrick. She is survived by her children Pam (Peter) Hucks of Winston -Salem, Melissa (Brian) Langston of Seaford, VA, and Michael (Ann) Peeler of Kernersville, six grandchildren Stephanie and Benjamin Hucks, Sarah Langston, and Dylan, Landon, and Katie Peeler, three brothers Richard (Doris) Wyrick, Terry (Judy) Wyrick, and Larry Wyrick, a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend Kerry Bradshaw.
A memorial service will be held at Lewisville United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11am to celebrate her life.
