Jane Talbert McKee

Mrs. Jane Talbert McKee, 67, of Advance, NC passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She was born September 13, 1956 in Rockingham, NC. Mrs. McKee was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was very close to her ladies Bible study which she was a part of for over 30 years. She was a Registered Nurse for many years until she decided to home school her three children from Elementary to High School. Jane loved Christian music, Seagrove pottery and her three cats, Dexter, Oreo and Phoebe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi Alonzo Talbert and Ava Elizabeth Barnette Talbert. Surviving are her loving husband of 40 years, John Rankin McKee; her children, Geoffrey McKee, Joshua McKee and Julia McKee Terry (Kalan); one grandson, Princeton Terry; two sisters, Rebecca Chaille and Lois Horton (Ben); one niece, April Shermer and one nephew, Eric Horton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Will Toburen and Dr. Danny B. Spence officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow the service in Forsyth Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Pregnancy Care Center, 3001 Maplewood Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
