Jane Lee Turpin Whisenhunt

Mrs. Jane Lee Turpin Whisenhunt, 76, a cherished, wife, mother and grandmother, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her home. Mrs.Whisenhunt was born August 29, 1932 in Bedford, VA a daughter of the late Other Turpin and the late Mary Loury Turpin. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Parrish and 2 sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Carl Whisenhunt, grandchildren, Loury and William Parrish, and brother, Caswell Turpin. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Norwood Green officiating. The family will receive friends 12:00-1:30 PM prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
