Jane Pinnix White, 93, affectionately known as “Nana,” passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, lovingly led by her Good Shepherd into her heavenly home. Born June 10, 1933, in Forsyth County to the late James and Ada Wilson Pinnix, Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a sweet, childlike joy for life, and a warmth that endeared her to so many. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, including making crafts, tending her flower garden, and baking. Jane had a heart for caring for others. Throughout her life, she lovingly cared for both her mother and mother-in-law until their passing and faithfully volunteered at her church. Her life was marked by kindness, friendship, and a willingness to serve those around her. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her son, Tim, for his loving devotion in living with and caring for his mother, allowing her to remain in the comfort of her own home until the end of her life.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond White; her granddaughter, Kaylan Hughes; and her siblings, Carlton, Ed, Virginia, Harriett, Kathleen, and David. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Crumley (Lance) and Cindy Ellis (Mark); her sons, Tim White and Eric White (Angel); her grandchildren, Abigail Johnston, Gabriel Crumley, Ashley Bohannon, and Eli McKinney; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Jane’s life will be held the following day, Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the same location, with Rev. Steve Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice by visiting www.mountainvalleycares.org
