Janet Fordham Hutchins

Mrs. Janet Fordham Hutchins, 88, of Rural Hall, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born March 17, 1937, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Raymond Prather Fordham and Lillie Mae Cook Fordham. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School and attended Flora McDonald College. She was employed by Davis Insurance until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Hutchins and her sister Barbara Lounsbury. She is survived by one niece, Lauri Bryant (Michael), and her family, daughter Heather Tate (AJ) and son Dustin Haley and grandchildren Haley, Ryan and Lilly Tate; nephew Billy Lounsbury (Amy) and his family, Maison Lounsbury, Noah and Eli McNeil; nephew Chris Lounsbury, and his children Anna, Morgan and Alex Lounsbury.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Chris Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
