Janet B. Quintal

Janet B. Quintal, 78, of Salem Glen, Clemmons, NC passed away peacefully at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC on Monday, August 20, 2026. Janet attended Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA, and served on their Board for many years thereafter. Janet was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons.

She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Kenneth “Ken” Quintal, whom she married on August 18, 1978, they were married for 45 years. Ken called Janet “My Pretty Lady”. Janet was very beautiful inside and out, and a true lady in all sense of the word. She had a pure and gentle spirit and a very generous heart. Her smile and laugh were contagious and her sense of humor was joyful.

Surviving are one sister, Dr. Judith F. Brown of West Palm Beach, FL; three nieces, Kimberly (Quintal) Vargo (Robert) of Cold Spring, NY, Lisa (Quintal) Lobdell (Tim) of Hancock, NY and Amy (Quintal) Lamash (Marc) of Callicoon, NY; one great niece, Rachael J. Harrison of Greenfield, MA and, last, but not least, her cat, Casey, whom she referred to as her baby.

Janet was blessed with many close friends and neighbors that she loved and appreciated more than words can even express.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4820 Kinnamon Road, Clemmons, NC with Rev. James Stuhrenberg officiating. Interment will follow in the columbarium on the grounds followed by a reception and celebration of life at Salem Glen Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brown-Quintal Scholarship at Chestnut Hill College, Office of Institutional Advancement, 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118, or a charity of your choice.
