Janet Harper Wrights

Mrs. Janet Harper Wrights, 81, of Clemmons died peacefully Wednesday, September 18, 2025 at Novant/Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born September 3, 1944 in Forsyth County to Cannon E. Harper, Sr. and Eula R. Harper. Her primary career was in accounting, with other part-time work after retiring. She was a member of Capernaum Church of Christ in Clemmons, and throughout her life was an avid reader, who also loved traveling, crocheting, bluegrass music, the arts, and cats, plus both the beach and the mountains. She was on the Senior board of the LAAC (Lewisville Area Arts Council) and will now become Sr. Board Member Emeritus & In Memoriam, with her service dates from 1991-2025. Her husband, Ronald Eugene Wrights, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Paralea Wrights Boose and husband Randall (with her two grandkitties Phoenix and Anastasia); her sister, Elaine H. Boyer; her brother, Cannon E. Harper, Jr. and wife Shannon. She is also survived by a special "adopted" daughter, Peggy B. Hackett (Jim) of Georgia, and her two caregivers, Vanessa Lassiter and Mary McBride of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving are many fiercely loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family would like to wish a very special thank you to all the nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors for the Cardiac ICU unit at Novant/Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at Capernaum Church of Christ in Clemmons with Brother John Steele officiating. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel in Advance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, September 23, 2025. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Clemmons/Winston-Salem.
