Janice Bowles

Mrs. Janice Marie Horne Bowles, 66, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland County, NC on June 2, 1951 to Marie Silver Horne and the late Wallace Lee Horne. Janice was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her father, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Bowles. She is survived by her mother; two sons, Jamie Bowles (Laurie) and Bryan Bowles (Candice); four grandchildren: Cameron, Ryley, Addison, and Aubree; one brother, Chris Horne (Jean); also, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, at Rural Hall Moravian Church with the Rev. Aaron Linville and the Rev. Dr. Evelyn Lemons officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gene Bowles Memorial Scholarship at North Forsyth High School, 5705 Shattalon Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
