Jean Moore Jones

Mrs. Jean Moore Jones, 97, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Trellis Hospice.

Jean was born on May 7, 1928, in Forsyth County to the late Clarence and Eula Moore. She retired from the VA after many years of dedicated service. Jean had a love for travel, enjoyed ballroom dancing, and took great pride in working in her flower garden. She was a faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Payne Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jean Ann Harvey (Andy), Sterling Jones (Lisa), and Alan Jones; her grandchildren, Jeremy Harvey, Jared Harvey, and Jesse Harvey (Sydney), Greyson Jones (Nell), and Madi Seymour (Chris); and her great-grandchildren, Abigail Grace Harvey and Hadassah Joy Harvey.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
