Ms. Jeanette Cromer, 85, passed away at Danby House on Saturday morning May 26, 2018. She was born in Forsyth County, July 4, 1932 to William Franklin Cromer and Hallie Rierson Cromer. Upon her mother's death, Williams' sister and husband, Lula and Samuel Darnell raised and loved Jeanette until their death. Ms. Cromer was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School and worked for Markel Insurance Company and Woodland Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth Seivers, Etta Mae Barkley and Frances Johnson; and a brother, Norman Cromer. Ms. Cromer is survived by a sister, Linda Peddycord; three brothers-in-law, Larry Peddycord of Lewisville, Victor Seivers of Winston-Salem and Jack Barkley of Advance; a niece, Leane Peddycord of Winston-Salem; two nephews, Jim Seivers of Winston-Salem and Jerry Seivers (Judy) of Winston-Salem and their families. Jeanette was also blessed with a large number of cousins. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Crestwood Baptist Church with Rev. David Wood and Rev. Benjamin Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
