Walnut Cove- Mrs. Jeanette Rathbone Farmer, 80, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation.  She was born May 21, 1939 in Haywood County, the daughter of William and Maude Green Rathbone.  She was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church and was retired from both Dewey’s Bakery and Woolworth Dept. Store.  A loving grandmother, she is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.  Survivors include her son, Philip Burleson of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Claude Rathbone of Clemmons and Julius Rathbone of Florida; a sister, Billie Sue Long of Lexington; her grandchildren, Penny Spainhour of Kernersville, Wendy Burleson of East Bend and Nathan Burleson of Linwood; her great grandchildren, Brittany Floyd, Miranda Floyd, James Wilkerson, Alisha Tolley, Timothy Tolley and Gemma Burleson and her great great-grandchildren, Micah Floyd and Noah Killebrew.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday July 9, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jennings O’Neil officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2019 at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
