Jeanette 'Jan' Bennett Loy

KERNERSVILLE - Jeanette ""Jan"" Bennett Loy, 73, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at her home. She was born November 6, 1939 in Forsyth Co. to the late Jerry and Dora Bennett. Jan was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. She was employed with Cracker Barrel in Greensboro for over 10 years after retiring from the hotel industry as a general manager. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey T. Loy. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, James J. Loy of the home; daughter, Lesa Loy of Winston Salem; three sons, Mike Loy and wife, Angelia of Winston Salem, Barry Loy of Kernersville and David Loy of Yadkinville; one sister, Darlene Boles of Winston Salem; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Albert Pollock officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 A.M. prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
