Jeannine Breen Rees

Mrs. Jeannine Breen Rees, 86, of Eden, NC formerly of Winston-Salem, NC died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her home. She was born August 2, 1930 in Mercer County, WV, the daughter of the late Eugene Francis and Agnes Roseman Breen. Mrs. Rees was a member and Elder of First Christian Church of Winston-Salem and was retired from Wachovia Bank & Trust and Timmermann Insurance Agency. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Rees and a brother, Eugene Breen. Survivors include one son, Carlyle T. Rees II and wife, Donna of Eden; two grandchildren, Trever Rees and wife, Jessica of Jonesborough, TN and Laura Rees of Kingsport, TN; two step grandchildren, David Bortz of Pinehall, NC and Chad Blessing of Whiteville, TN; two step great grandchildren, Taylor Bortz and John Bortz; one brother, Samuel T. Breen and wife, Phyllis of Erwin, TN; two sisters, Kathy Walker and husband, Wayne of Bluefield, WV and Judith Rolen and husband, Robert of Princeton, WV; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00 PM at First Christian Church of Winston-Salem with Chaplain David Fox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to say a special thanks to Tracy Beard, RN of Amedisys Hospice for her loving care shown to Mrs. Reese. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Winston-Salem, 2320 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The arrangements are by Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
