Jeffery "Ace" Allen Adams

Mr. Jeffery Allen ""Ace"" Adams, 56, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem. He was born in Mercer Co., West Virginia on December 17, 1958 to son of the late Oscar Joseph Adams and Macie Graham Adams. Ace was a dedicated employee of 35 years at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking the Appalachain Trail, logging in over one hundred miles. Ace was a loving husband and had a special love for children, raising Dustin and ‘Little Larry"", as his own sons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters; Betty Adams, Peggy Adams Champ, Shirley Adams Robertson, Laura Adams Ross and Judy Adams Shrewsbury.
Ace is survived by his wife, Melissa T. Adams, one brother; Butch Adams(Jessie), four sisters; Linda Adams Spain, Sandy Adams Miller (Tommy), Edie Adams Bolen and Becky Adams Murdock (Allen), step-children; David and Grace Boggs, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 11:30 -1:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
