Jeffery B. Brooks

Mr. Jeffery B. Brooks, 72, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2016 at his home. He was born September 14, 1944 in Erie, PA to the late Wallace Henry Brooks and Marion Hays Brooks. He served his country in the U.S. Army. After his retirement from Contemporary Printing Services he and his wife moved to Winston-Salem where he authored three novels. Mr. Brooks was a resourceful history buff. He was an avid softball player and organized several different teams and leagues, he also spent several years coaching youth sports. He was a fan of the Pittsburg Penguins and the Buffalo Bills and had a green thumb for gardening. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bruce Brooks. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara Brost Brooks; two sons, Jeremy Brooks and wife Kimberly and Bryan Brooks and wife Kelly; two grandchildren, Nathan and Reagan Brooks. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
