Jeffrey Allen Gilley

Mr. Jeffrey Allen Gilley, 49, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, November 13, 2015. Mr. Gilley was born on March 3, 1966, in Ashe County, NC to Jerry Gilley and Sandra Walters Gilley. He attended Beaver Creek High School in Ashe County, NC and was a graduate of Starmount High School in 1984. Jeff was currently employed with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James B. and Nell Walters; and one uncle, Jimmy Walters. Along with his mother, Mr. Gilley is survived by his wife, Debra C. Gilley; one daughter, Haiden E. Gilley; a sister, Debbie G. Holcomb (Daryl); one brother, Brian Turner (Brenda); and two cousins, Lori and Keith Walters. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 20, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
