Jeffrey Kane Rogers, 55, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully on August 16, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Williams Rogers, and his two sons, Chad (Kayla) and Adam. He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Jane Rogers, his brothers, Jay (Cheryl) and Joel (Lisa), and their families and a special aunt, Molly Bohn. Jeff retired from the City of Winston-Salem Utilities Division. Prior to that he worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in R&D. He had always been an avid woodworker and enjoyed working with any kind of technology. A more recently acquired hobby was cooking. Jeff was a multi-talented man who was caring and selfless and was always willing to help in any way he could. Jeff was an active member of Clemmons First Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at the church on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 4:00pm with Dr. Robby Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or the donor's choice.
