Jenell Rayfield Hart

KERNERSVILLE -  Jenell Rayfield Hart, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Jenell was born on June 23, 1937 in Forsyth County to Bradley Jerome and Nell Holland Rayfield.  Jenell retired from Sara Lee and was a faithful member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church for many years. After retirement, she shared her love for helping others by volunteering at Kernersville Medical Center as long as her health would allow. She baked wonderful cakes and loved sharing them with her family and friends. Dancing, clogging, painting, and playing the piano were among her favorite past times. Jenell’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jenell was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Rayfield and his wife, Gaynell.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, John Hart, Jr.; a son, Greg Hart (wife, Julie);  a daughter, Kim Shaver (husband, Mark) ; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Hooven (husband, E.W.); a brother, Don Rayfield (wife, Beverly); and many nieces and nephews.

Per Jenell’s request, there will be no formal services at this time.
