Jennifer Cockerham

Jennifer Raker Vanderford Cockerham age 68, is Finally Home, After more than forty years of eager anticipation of Heaven. Jennifer was a registered nurse, author, and public speaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Paul Raker Sr. and Geneva Raker, spouse David Vanderford Sr., and son Eric Vanderford, brother, Larry Raker, niece, Anita Raker. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Ronald Cockerham; two sons, one daughter, and twelve grandchildren: Son, David and (Shannon) Vanderford, with children, Dustin and (Heather) Vanderford of Mebane, N.C., Hailey and Kaysie of Walkertown, N.C., Son, Brian and (Rebecca) Vanderford with children Nathan, Jonathan and Abigail Vanderford of Salisbury, N.C. Daughter, Rachel and (Jon) Azzarello with children, Corban, Marissa, Colton, Madelyn, Connor, Colin of Kernersville. She is also survived by two sisters, Loretta and (Steve) Mosier and family of Conyers, Georgia, and Joanna Smith of Winston Salem, N.C., and one brother Paul and (Diane) Raker of Bolivia, N.C. Sister- in- law Faye Anderson and many precious nieces and nephews. A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Cockerham will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11am at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Shumate, Pastor Chris Swiatocho, and Bro. Brian Vanderford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park, Winston Salem, N.C. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Gospel Light Baptist Church from 6pm - 8pm. Her body is currently at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home in Kernersville, N.C.
