Jerry Brinegar, Sr.

Mr. Jerry Don Brinegar, Sr., 81, of Lewisville, went home to his Savior and friend Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was born December 25, 1936 in Forsyth County to Mayme Dowell Brinegar and Don Orton Brinegar. Mr. Brinegar was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. He retired from Time Warner Cable and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Tuttle Brinegar. Surviving are his daughter, Teri Brinegar; his son, Jerry Don “Donnie” Brinegar, Jr. (Tanya); four grandchildren, Meredith Summey (Scott), Matthew Brinegar, Alyssa Emerson and Alie Brinegar; one sister, Vicki Brinegar VanBuren and four nephews, Craig, Brett, Scott and Derek Jones. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Dr. Guy Hipp officiating. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
