Jerry Marshall Carpenter

Jerry Marshall Carpenter, age 77 of Bermuda Run, NC passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at his home. He was born on September 15, 1949 in Richmond, VA to the late Henry Marshall Carpenter and Barbara Clarke Carpenter. He served as a Nursing Home Administrator for over 30 years and retired in 2019. He also proudly served in the National Guard as a young man.

He is survived by Cyndi Almeida, two daughters, Melanie Griffin (Ward), Ashley Eisner (Scott) and 4 grandchildren, Ward, Jr and Maitland Griffin, and Olivia and Noa Eisner. Two sisters Janet and Randy White, and their daughter, Candice Brooke, Deborah Kerns (Mark) and her daughters Alyssa Jarrattt (Crystal) and Demi and Justin Lowen.

Jerry grew up in Emporia Virginia and has many friends who still kept in touch after many years. He was known by everyone as a fun, loving, kind guy with a strong love for music and his many friends over the years were relationships that began in his early days playing bass guitar with The Electras. Jerry always had music friends in his life which brought him happiness. In recent days he had a “jam session” with his best buddy, Ken Long in their music room at Ken and Susan’s home..such a “happy place”.

A small celebration of Jerry’s life with close friends, family and those who loved him will be held in his hometown in late October.
