Jerry Owen Jernigan

Mr. Jerry Owen Jernigan, age 89 of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023.  He was born September 21, 1934 to the late Owen Fowler Jernigan and Pearl Reavis Jernigan in Statesville.  Mr. Jernigan was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in the Korean War.  He had retired after many years with the NC public system as School Administrator.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jernigan and one daughter, Erica Jernigan.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Dr. Frank Wood.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
