Jerry Curtis Manuel

KERNERSVILLE -- Mr. Jerry Curtis Manuel, 73, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Jerry was born on July 9, 1940 in Forsyth County to the late Wilber and Gladys Sapp Manuel. He retired from RJ Reynolds with many years of service and was a member of Sedge Garden Baptist Church. Jerry loved his family and left them with his written statement of faith - 'The Lord is good, all the time.' Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Tuttle Manuel; two sons, Ricky Manuel (wife, Susie) of Colfax and Joel Manuel of the home; one daughter, Sybil Smith (husband, Mike) of Kernersville; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Tim Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
