Jerry "Ray" Tesh

Mr. Jerry ""Ray"" Tesh, 80, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Tesh was born February 8, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late William Henry and Helen Busby Tesh. He was retired from Container Corporation/ Jefferson-Smurfit Corp. after 42 years of service. Ray was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Army Reserve. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and attended as long as his health permitted. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by four brothers; Bill, Bruce, Jack and Charlie Tesh. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife; Dolores ""Betty"" Brown Tesh of the home, his daughter; Angie (Ben) Parsons of Clemmons, NC, his son; Terry (Candy) Tesh of Clemmons; a sister, Phyllis Camp of Pfafftown; three grandchildren; April and Abbigail Tesh, and Brooks Parsons; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special bulldog, Marty Ray. A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Bret Cogan officiating and special memories shared by Terry Tesh. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
