Mr. Jerry Allen Wyatt, 51, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, after a heroic battle with cancer. He was born April 9, 1972, in Pulaski County, VA, the son of Roger James Wyatt and Linda Boardwine Wyatt. Jerry was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, Daddy and Papa, who loved his family dearly, especially his nieces and nephews. In addition, Jerry was an avid pool player. Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Maze Boardwine and Martin and Blanche Wyatt. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tracy Wyatt; daughter, Cortney Bowden (Drew); three grandchildren, Grayson, Ivy and Baker Bowden; his parents, Roger and Linda Wyatt; three brothers, Jamie Wyatt (Lorie), Donnie Wyatt (Angie) and Scottie Wyatt (Billie); a special aunt, Della; and special in-laws include, Emma Jean Griffin, Johnny M. Wiles (Vicky), Paula Moreland, and the entire Griffin family. Jerry had much love for all of his cousins as well. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gammons and Dr. Roger Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening, January 19, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund.
