Jesse Adams, Jr., age 87, of Winston-Salem, NC, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2025.
He was born on October 7, 1937, in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Jesse “Bud” Adams, Sr. and Julia Mai Adams.
Mr. Adams served in the United States Army from 1961 – 1963 and was stationed in Fort Belvoir, VA where he served as a cartographer making maps for the military. He was employed with Life and Casualty in Nashville, TN for 20 years and was later employed with Heritage Farms Dairy in Murfreesboro, TN where he worked until his retirement.
Mr. Adams was a devout Christian who loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his family, and his country. He will be missed and fondly remembered until we reunite in Heaven. Mr. Adams considered his greatest legacy to be his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Dollie Ann Adams; two sisters and one brother.
Surviving family includes his daughters, Linda Baity and husband Jeff of Winston-Salem, NC, and Brenda Weeks and husband Robert of Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren, Adam Baity of Lynchburg, VA, and Autumn Hamlette and husband Chris, also of Lynchburg, VA; and one great-granddaughter on the way.
Mr. Adams’ graveside service and burial will be private at the request of the family.
Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
