Kernersville – Mr. Jesse Thomas Musick, 43, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Health. While his loved ones are grieving, we find peace in the fact that Jesse is now cancer-free after 21 years of fighting. He won the battle! We find comfort knowing that Jesse loved the Lord and was ready to go to Heaven.
Jesse was born on April 24, 1981, in Carter County, TN, to Dr. David Musick and Cheryl Kimbrell. Jesse earned his bachelor’s degree in business from NC A&T University. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time in the mountains. Jesse loved cars and learning all about them. He was the go-to man for any help with technology. He also loved the guitar and could play by ear. He was so witty and had an incredible sense of humor. Jesse attended The Summit Church in Kernersville with his family. He adored his wife, Brooke, whom he had been with for a total of 16 years, and he was the most amazing daddy to his daughter, Avery. Jesse was so caring and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 11 years, Brooke Musick; daughter, Avery Musick; father, David Musick; mother, Cheryl Kimbrell (husband, Al); one sister, Allison Musick; and his in-laws, Mike and Cathy Lyerly.
A Celebration of Life service for Jesse will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Jonathon Robbins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Jesse requested a memorial fund be set up for Avery’s education. Contributions will be moved to the official scholarship fund once established. Donations can currently be made using the GoFundMe link below.
