Jettie Hege

Mrs. Jettie Mae Hicks Hege, 93, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on September 13, 1924 in Forsyth County to Jacob and Ida Cornish Hicks. Mrs. Hege married the love of her life, John W. Hege on February 21, 1946. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Hege was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John W. Hege; eight brothers, Rob, James, William, Charlie, Jacob, Jr., Ralph, Matthew, and Clinton Hicks; one sister, Lettie Tise. Surviving are three daughters, Diana Cecile; Brenda Myers and husband Wayne, Jackie Gardner and husband Paul; six grandchildren, David Cecile and wife Leanne, Scott Cecile and wife Jennifer, Kenneth Myers, John Myers, Danielle Gardner, Seth Gardner; four great grandchildren, Dylan Cecile, Luke and Logan Cecile, Adrianna Myers. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Preacher Conard Hatfield, Rev. Ottis Hurst, and Rev. Josh Boles officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
