Mr. Jimmie Ray Kyles, 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at his home. He was born April 3, 1936 in Rowan County to the late Henry Vance and Geneva Dagenhart Kyles. Mr. Kyles was a veteran, proudly serving in the U.S. Navy and later going to work for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 32 years of service. He was a solid Christian man who was always loving, patient, and helpful to anyone he knew. Jimmie enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing at the beach, gardening, and he was an athlete who loved playing and watching many different sports. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Marsha Alexandra; son, James Clyde Kyles and two brothers, Kenneth Kerry Kyles and Frank James Kyles. Surviving is his devoted wife of 58 years, Rebecca Kyles; three daughters who loved him dearly, Connie Kyles, Patricia Grady (James), and April Merritt (Ronnie); six grandchildren, Starr Spach (Justin), Nicholas Grady (fiancé, Amanda Newcomer), Leah Granger, Hannah Granger, Alex Kyles, and Kylie Correll; four great-grandchildren, Aidan Grady, Payton Swaim, Brodie Spach, and Farrah Ross; also surviving is a brother, Henry Vance Kyles, Jr. of Salisbury. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday, July 15, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.
