Mr. Jimmy “Vann” Swaim, 38, passed away on January 22, 2026, at his home in Danbury. He was born on August 26, 1987, in Forsyth County to James Richard Swaim and Wendy Michelle Brinkley. After graduating high school, Vann received his Auto Repair Certification. He enjoyed working on cars and hiking with his daughters. Vann always had an adventurous spirit. Most importantly, he was an awesome dad who always put his family first. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tom Brinkley, paternal grandparents; Paul Tilley and Josephine “Jo” Tilley, two brothers, Brandon Hunter and Trey Swaim, and one sister, Jacy Swaim. Vann is survived by his mother, Wendy Michelle Brinkley Long (Farley), dad, George Hunter, maternal grandmother, Frances Brinkley, two daughters, Addison Swaim and Kenzleigh Swaim, two sisters, Kayla Hunter and Misty Hunter, one brother, Josh Evans, his father, James Swaim, and a best friend, Eric Lefebvre. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday February 14, 2026, at Tobaccoville Park.
