Mr. Jimmy Troutt, 76, of Winston-Salem entered into presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Silas Creek Manor. He was born on September 24, 1940 in Wilmington, NC to Captain Lucas and Darlena Mayberry Troutt. Mr. Troutt lived his life in Forsyth County and graduated from Walkertown high school. He then served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Sears & Roebuck with over 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents; his daughter, Kimberly Troutt; and his sister Brenda Watts. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Manning Troutt; step daughter, Teresa Burgess; granddaughter Harmony Burgess; sisters, Gene Goforth, Ann Magaraci and Gail Dull, brother Larry Troutt; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all who he loved and loved him very much. Jim loved his church and church family. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at First Wesleyan Church on Old Salisbury Road in Winston Salem. ""Thank you Lord for seeing how weary I am, and letting me rest. The pain is gone; the peace is beautiful, Your love surrounds me. I have fought the good fight and somehow now at this stage, no matter what the outcome, I feel I have one.""
