Jo Ann Thrasher

Jo Ann Thrasher, 77, passed away Saturday, June 10,2023.  She was born October 5, 1945, in Albertville, AL, to the late Thomas Lloyd Thrasher and Vivian Lucille Turner Clemmons.

Jo Ann graduated Summa Cum Laude in Nursing from Mississippi University For Women.  She enjoyed careers in both nursing and motor freight sales.  Jo Ann had a great sense of humor, a competitive spirit, yet had a kind heart and was extremely generous.  No one could love their children (or dogs) more than she loved them, BUT when her grandson Parker was born, he was truly the light of her life.  She was a lover of Jesus, knew His Word, and often said, “the Lord has dealt kindly with me.”

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Thrasher; nephew, Aaron Thrasher; brother-in-law, John Mullen; and sister-in-law, Pattie Jones.  Jo Ann is survived by her two loving daughters, Jennifer Jamieson and Robbi Jamieson Jonas (Daniel; grandson, Parker Daniel Jonas; four siblings: Michael Thrasher (Patsy), Marjorie Mullen, Hoyt Adams Jones, and Candy Jones Stewart (Dean); five nieces and nephews: Rylee (Daniel), Matthew (Sarah), Jordan (Marissa), Clarissa, and Noah; and great niece, Ada.

A Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 13^th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Andrew Wild officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.  A private family committal service will take place the following day at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Oaks Community Church, 1855 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons, Nc 27012, Samaritans Purse, or Tunnels to Towers.
