Joan Elizabeth Morris

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Joan Elizabeth Morris, whose kindness, strength and unwavering devotion to her family touched everyone who knew her.

Born in Peterborough England, Joan carried with her a spirit of grace, resilience, and warmth throughout her life. In 1960 Joan met the love of her life, her husband Bob. In 1961 she bravely left her homeland and journeyed to the United States to begin a new chapter filled with hope, love and family. That courageous decision became the foundation of a beautiful life shared with her devoted husband. Creating a home filled with laughter, compassion and treasured memories.

Joan was the heart of her family, a loving wife, mother and adored grandmother. She had a gentle way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her family was her greatest joy and she devoted herself completely to those she loved. She gave endlessly of herself.

She treasured family gatherings, traditions, both old and new, and the stories of her English roots that she lovingly shared throughout the generations. Her strength, wisdom, humor and unconditional love will remain forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, extended family and dear friends.

Though our hearts are broken we are grateful for the life she lived, the sacrifices she made and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Joan is survived by her children, Michelle Walker, Philip Morris (Janie), Renee Walters (Keith), and Derek Morris. Her grandchildren, Jared Morris (Kristie), Danny Walters (Ashley), Josh Walters, Michael Morris (Lily), Luke Walters (Cindy), Cameron Morris, Tyler Matthews (Stacy), Jake Walters, Evan Morris (Courtney), Robert Morris (Jennifer), Regan Morris, Kendall Morris, Mark Woodard, Justin Woodard (Lindsey), Tina Britt (Jason) and 22 great grandchildren. Joan is also survived by her sister Janice Gaches (Graham), sister-in-law Jill Fisher and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Morris, her son Lee Morris and wife Claire Morris, her parents Reginald and Queenie Fisher, mother and father-in-law Percy and Fanny Morris, sister Joyce Willis and husband John Willis, brother George Fisher, son in law Larry Walker and many beloved extended family members.
